I grew up with my biological mother, and step father, a full blooded sister, and a half sister and half brother. My childhood was full of fear as an abused child. I had no self confidence. My step father constantly told me that I was no good, I would never amount to anything, and I would be in jail by the time I was 16 years old. There wasn't much love in my home. I was beaten often. I struggled for many years with low self esteem and self confidence. I found myself always trying to impress others to feel accepted.

After I graduated from high school, I went into the Marine Corps. I was the Series high shooter in boot camp and finished #1 in my school after bootcamp. Still trying to impress others. After getting out with an Honorable Discharge I soon got married to a wonderful woman who had 4 children. We later had 2 more children together. I gave my life to God when I was about 30 years old. I worked many jobs trying to make ends meet. Then I found a job with a good company that had a pension and health benefits. While employed I went to college and received a Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Leadership. I thought all was good and secure.

The Mindset Change.

After 14 years with the company, they froze my pension. This amounted to me losing 2/3rds of my monthly income when I retired, which would barely pay for my health insurance. I didn't see that coming. Then, after 28 years with the company, they let me go. I didn't see that coming either. It wasn't as good and secure as I was taught growing up as a middle class child. I was taught (like all other middle class children) to get an education, get a good job with benefits and a pension, then retire.

However, it was a good thing that I didn't stick with that advice after I grew up. You see, while in my 30's, I learned that thinking and living like I was taught would not give me financial freedom. What I learned as an adult was that working for someone else was not as secure as I was taught. It is an illusion! So I made a mindset change and started investing my money. What I want you to see is that my veteran status, college degree, or loyalty to the company didn't give me financial security or freedom.

What gave me financial security?

God and becoming an entrepreneur while I worked!

If I hadn't changed my mindset and started investing my money, I would have had to sell my home, race car, and move into a poverty stricken neighborhood after losing my job. But instead, I continued to live the same as before.

This is why I do what I do today. I want to help others overcome the struggles in life like fear and low self confidence that keeps them from reaching their full potential. I want to help others change their mindset. That is why I started A.L.L. Wealthy (Abundant Life Living Wealthy). I want to help others reach their Abundant Life!
